Public Safety
MISSION
Together with other municipal establishments, the Pointe-Claire Public Security's fundamental mission is to participate in the maintenance and the improvement of the quality of life of Pointe-Claire's residents.
MANDATE
Pointe-Claire's Public Security Department has been entrusted with the following specific responsibilities :
- The enforcement of several municipal by-laws.
- A constant preoccupation for the residents' physical and material safety.
- The application of security measures, especially in the fields of crime prevention and road safety.
- Animal control.
- Any other task that may be requested by municipal authorities.

INTERVENTION METHODS
In order to carry out its mandate, Pointe-Claire's Public Security resorts to the usual intervention methods, i.e. preventive, as well as repressive patrol, and answering calls from citizens in the fields that concern public safety.
